Find out more than you ever wanted to know about John Pickford and Ste Pickford!
Hello! We're John Pickford and Ste Pickford - The Pickford Brothers - veteran video game designers and developers who switched to 'indie' game development and self-publishing in 2004.
We used to work on high profile console games for people like Rare, Nintendo and Sony, but we swapped the large teams, big budgets, expensive licenses and crazy overtime of mainstream game development for cosy home offices, low budgets, creative freedom and seeing our families now and again.
Our website is used showcase some of our new game ideas, keep you up to date with what we're working on, and to document and preserve our past work where possible.
Oh, and since you're here, please try our latest game Magnetic Billiards: Blueprint for iOS devices. It's free, and dead good!

It's a funny thing being a self publishing indie game developer. The 'self publishing indie' bit can take up so much time and effort that I sometimes forget about about 'game developer' bit. I still consider myself to be primarily a video game graphic ...

I was just scanning in some sketches from my work notebook this morning, when I spotted this doodle I did on the train to London the other week. It's an attempt at getting a good look for the main character in I Sent My Monkey To The Moon, a new game id...
